Redesigned Website for OnCapeRealEstate.com

Cape Cod Real Estate website

We have just launched a redesigned website for Team OnCapeRealEstate!  We loved the original site, but after 6 years we felt like it deserved a new look.

We decided to go with a full width home page and add a nice shell background to the rest of the site.  The site is designed to be a little more “open” but have some interesting features and movement.

We also added an expanded client review page and additional search pages that allows people to search for waterfront and foreclosures for every town on Cape Cod.

Our aim was to make a site that is easy for people to find the property they are interested in…plain and simple!  The new site will also allow us to easily make changes along the way.

Take a look and see what you think!

“One Click” Custom Search

Save Your Own “One Click” MLS Search

…without the aggravation of having to “Sign up”

Our web designer is the best!  He has just added a new feature to our site that allows our clients to create a direct link to any property search they want.  They don’t even have to “Register” then “Sign in” every time to check it.  Talk about saving time!

This is how you do it…Create a "URL" for easy Searches

Enter your search criteria, click the “URL” button on the page.  You have now created a direct link to the search you want.

"URL" copied to clipboardYou will see an alert in a green box that says the link has been copied to your clipboard.  You can paste this link in a document and save it along with any others so you can check back at any time.

Enter saved "URL" into browserFor instance, if you are using Internet Explorer 9…open a new tab in the browser, place the cursor in the url field at the top.  It might say something like “about:Tabs”.  Press and hold the “CTRL” key on the lower right corner of your keyboard and press the “V” key.  This should “paste” the url in the box.  Press “ENTER”.  You should be taken to a page with the properties you are looking for.

You want to make sure you save this link because you can use at any time!

This is what I would suggest…

Add the "URL" to your Favorites…to have the link available at anytime.  After “pasting” the link in the url field and pressing “ENTER” to go to the search.  Go to your “Favorites” under the star in IE 9 and add it to the favorites bar.  An easier way is to simply press/hold “CTRL” and press “D” when you are on the page.  This will bring up the “Add to Favorites” box and allow you to save it.  The search page will be updated every time you go back to it and our site is updated every 30 minutes so you are going to be able to see any new listings.

A slightly easier method to save your new search…

After clicking the “URL” button on the search page open up your email program, start a new email and put your own email address in the recipient field.  Press/hold the “CTRL” (usually on the left corner on your keyboard) button on your keyboard and press the letter “V” on your keyboard.  Press return and your link is ready.  Send the email to yourself and keep it in your inbox and whenever you want to check to see what properties are available, open the email and click the link.
